Meet Summer

Summer Moore, LMSW

Summer is a clinical social worker who earned her degree from the University of Michigan School of Social Work, with a focus on family practice, early childhood development, and integrated health care. She has specialized training in attachment theory, child development, play therapy, mindfulness, infant and parent-child psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, mind-body approaches, chronic illness, and trauma-focused care.

She works with individuals navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, stress and burnout, attachment-related challenges, chronic illness and caregiving, parenting difficulties, and life transitions. Drawing from experience across diverse settings, Summer brings an understanding of the complex and interconnected factors that influence both mental and physical well-being.

Interests: Summer enjoys listening to podcasts on long walks with her dog, creativity through colourful home decor and spaces, joyful movement, delicious meals, and spending time with her family and friends.

I work with individuals who are looking for a space to slow down, feel understood, and move towards the most authentic version of themselves. I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, openness, and support. My style is rooted in attachment and relational work, meaning we’ll focus on how your relationships, past and present, shape your experiences. Together, we’ll create a space that feels safe, connected, and nourishing, where you can explore painful patterns, build trust, and deepen your sense of self.

My goal is to help you expand your capacity for wholeness, so you can feel more ease, closeness, and connection in your life and relationships. Through attunement, understanding, regulation, and genuine care, we’ll work toward helping you feel seen, supported, and empowered.

My Story

I share these experiences to offer a fuller picture of my work as a therapist and the diverse settings that have shape my approach to care. These experiences allow me to support clients through many facets of life, including parenting, caregiving, relationships, identity exploration, and the everyday challenges and transitions that come with being human.
